Warranty Policy

Dixon Trailers warrants new Dixon Trailers Pty Ltd manufactured trailers for 24 months from the Dixon Trailers invoice date.

Dixon Trailers will repair or replace trailers if they fail to function properly when properly maintained, under normal use and service which means the loading, unloading and transportation of uniformly distributed legal loads of non-corrosive cargo, adequately restrained and secured, in a manner which does not subject the trailer to strains or impact greater than are imposed by normal use during the warranty period. Total weight of trailer and cargo must not exceed the ATM stated on the VIN plate and the loading of each axle must not exceed the ATM stated on the VIN plate. Warranty service will include all labour as well as any necessary adjustments and/or replacement of faulty parts.

All trailers requiring warranty servicing must be returned to Dixon Trailers at the cost of the purchaser for the work to be carried out. Proof of the date of purchase will be required with any request for warranty repair.

Trailer needs to be serviced in accordance with the maintenance schedule with regular maintenance in between service intervals.  Wheel nuts need to be checked within the first 100km from purchase and rechecked at regular intervals thereafter. Wheel bearing grease to be changed at least every 2 years, more often if used regularly.

The warranty relates to Dixon Trailers Pty Ltd manufactured trailer which has failed as a result of a defect in materials or in workmanship. The provisions do not apply to tyres, brakes, batteries, general wear & tear and other service components.

The warranty is void should any alterations, modifications, repair, overloading of the trailer occur, or where defect is as a result of lack of servicing and maintenance.

The warranty does not cover cargo loss, usage loss, loss of earnings or other consequential or incidental damages alleged to have been caused by any defect in the trailer.

This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and does not extend to any other persons to whom the trailer may be transferred.

Any representation, warranty, condition or undertaking that would be implied in this warranty statement by legislation, common law, equity, trade, custom or usage is excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this warranty statement excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, warranty, right or remedy conferred on the purchaser by Australian Consumer Law.
